A long time ago (last February) I had the idea to try podcasting, and do a short series of interviews with different people about different aspects of culture and innovation. But then I got really sidetracked with work and life etc… and it all kind of just slipped through the cracks. There were other hurdles as well, primarily finding time to interview people and me not knowing how to work with audio but, eventually it all started to fall into place.
As my first attempt at this by no means is it perfect, but I am still pretty siked to have it finished and I am equally excited to finally be able to share with you my interview with the amazing Tracy Levesque a local fine art painter, who is also known as “The Birch Lady.” Established in the local arts scene you may recognize her colourful and unique abstract paintings from social media and different art markets. Tracy was good enough to sit down with me via Skype for 20 minutes, and talk to me about her professional trajectory and what its like making a living as a professional fine artist.
Thank you for your time and if you’re interested in listening to the interview press play on the audio file below.
